Dreaming in Colour

My mind once saw in colour,

Chased away the black and grey.

But the paints have dried out.

Darkness falls with the rising sun,

They hit blank canvas with a clout.

At night I dream in colour,

Green grass and summer hues.

I paint rainbows in the rain,

Till the sun rises,

And colour fades again.
